Who can join Founders Board Africa?
FBA welcomes entrepreneurs at all stages — from aspiring founders to accomplished business leaders. Our membership tiers (AFBA, MFBA, FFBA, and Global Business Captain) are designed to fit each stage of the founder journey.
What is the difference between a Member and a Fellow?
A Member (MFBA) is for founders with established businesses ready to scale. A Fellow (FFBA) recognises accomplished founders with significant business success who are actively committed to mentoring the next generation and shaping the future of African entrepreneurship.
How do I become a Global Business Captain?
Global Business Captains are selected by invitation only, based on demonstrated excellence including a proven track record, significant business performance, regional or global impact, and a commitment to mentoring other founders.
What events are included with membership?
Members get access to monthly Founders Campfire Nights held across multiple cities, plus priority registration for the Annual Founders Congress. Fellows and above get additional access to Leadership Roundtables and exclusive sessions with Global Business Captains.
Is FBA only for Nigerian founders?
Not at all. FBA is a Pan-African institution with members and Global Business Captains from across 54+ nations and 5 continents. We connect Africa-based founders, African-born entrepreneurs operating globally, and international leaders committed to the African ecosystem.
How soon will I hear back after applying?
Our team aims to respond to all inquiries within 48 hours. For membership applications, you will be contacted to schedule a brief onboarding conversation to ensure we match you to the right membership tier for your stage.
